FROM THE COACHES
Our Note to You
As we work together to address your specific needs, we are able to offer culturally specific feedback and resources.
It's our hope that during our sessions you'll gain a better understanding of yourself and your unique artistic gifts, and how to harness those to make generative, meaningful contributions to the practice.
We believe that actors and theatre educators are some of the most influential artists because we learn to hold, give space to, and share tales that may otherwise go untold or are undertold.
We dig deep in our sessions---with humility, integrity, and responsibility.
We're so happy to be a part of your artistic journey and we look forward to working with you.
In Artistry,
Sharrell, Kashi, and Jonathan

Curricula, Research, & Project Consultations
We understand that actors, educators, and organizations have wide-ranging interests and requests when it comes to engaging with the work of the Studio and the field of “black acting methods.” To this end, we are pleased to offer curricula consultations, project consultations, and research consultations. Perhaps you are working on an article or a book and would like feedback. Or maybe you are in the throes of directing a show and need dramaturgical guidance or in-depth advice on how to handle a difficult dialogue. We also offer on-set coaching for television and film studios. Whatever your situation is, the Studio is here to assist. Click below to book a session with us.
“
The educator training was powerful and necessary. Every theatre teacher should be required to attend a session, reflect, and implement the practices provided through the Studio in order to ensure that every performer feels welcomed.
Rachel Harrah, Director of Dallas ISD Theatre & Dance
“
It's really inspiring to know that as a Black artist I can create an entire alternative theatre practice. I really appreciate finding this type of affirmation and becoming full on my culture and history.
